Enjoy Your Summer Vacation in Style

Growing up, my family went on numerous summer vacations. The five of us all usually traveled in my parent’s midsize sedan. While we enjoyed each other’s company for a while, we soon became irritable. We didn’t have nearly enough room in the car to remain comfortable for longer than an hour or two. If you’re planning an upcoming vacation, consider renting a vehicle to travel in. You can ride in style; and, you will have enough room to stretch. On this blog, you will discover the best types of vehicles to rent for large families. Enjoy your vacation ride this year!

First-Time Limo Passenger? Don't Be Afraid To Ask Your Chauffeur These Questions

Faith Brown

When you're riding in a limousine for the first time, it's easy to think that the barrier between the driver's compartment and your seating area is insurmountable. In reality, however, you're free to converse with your chauffeur for as much or as little of the journey as you'd like, provided that doing so isn't distracting him or her from safely driving the vehicle. In many cases, you can augment your limo experience by not only chatting with your chauffeur, but also asking a series of key questions. Don't hesitate to lower the partition between you and the driver and ask these four questions.

Can We Stop Up Ahead?

Even if you've given your chauffeur an itinerary for your voyage, there's typically no concern about making some spontaneous changes to it. For example, if you're driving in an area and notice the picturesque quality of the sunset, don't be afraid to ask the chauffeur to pull over in a safe area so that you can get out of the limo and enjoy the view.

Do You Have Any Restaurant Recommendations?

Many chauffeurs end up playing the role of impromptu tour guide for their passengers, thanks to their vast knowledge of the city and its many places to visit. Asking your driver if he or she has any restaurant or bar recommendations can yield some valuable answers. For example, the chauffeur might be able to recommend a spot at which it's easy to secure a table at the last minute—and the added bonus is that he or she can take you there, too.

Can You Take A Picture Of Us?

Chauffeurs often double as photographers—you just need to ask. Your driver will likely be more than happy to snap a photo of you and your date or your entire travel group in a desired location, whether it's in the back of the limo or standing in front of it. Just remember that photo taking is an extra service—when it comes time to tip, it's nice to give a little extra to show your thanks.

Is It Possible To Extend The Rental?

When you book a limo, you'll typically arrange transportation for a set amount of time. If you're having an enjoyable experience and aren't in a hurry for it to end, don't be afraid to ask about extending the rental period. While the answer will depend on whether the driver has to pick up other clients right away, there's a chance that he or she will do so for you.
